The iShares Goldman Sachs Technology Index Fund is an exchange traded index fund that seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Goldman Sachs Technology Index. The Index has been developed by Goldman Sachs as an equity benchmark for U.S.-traded technology-related stocks. The Index includes companies in the following categories: producers of sophisticated computer-related devises; electronics networking and Internet services; producers of computer and Internet software; consultants for information technology; and providers of computer services. The Fund uses a Representative Sampling strategy to try to track the Index. The Fund will concentrate its investments in a particular industry or group of industries to approximately the same extent the Index is so concentrated. Because the Index will always be concentrated in the technology industry, which comprises 100% of its market capitalization, the Fund will always be concentrated in technology. The Fund pays out dividends to investors at least annually and may pay them on a more frequent basis.
